WHAT WE DID

The situation

P&O Ferries are one of Europe’s leading ferry services, with a fleet of 20 ships embarking on 30,000 sailings a year. They needed dedicated support on-site at their headquarters in Dover to create and deliver on a wide range of marketing comms for multiple sailing routes and business divisions.

The task

We were challenged to enhance the quality and consistency of creative assets and uphold P&O’s brand standards across the board. Deadlines were tight and expectations were high, so we had to guarantee fast, timely delivery, high quality and a shipshape service – at all times.

The approach

P&O Ferries needed an agile and dedicated creative studio to meet this challenge. This team would also act as in-house brand guardians, on-hand to produce bespoke on-brand assets, quickly and within budget.

The action

First, we got to know P&O Ferries and their existing teams, processes and assets top to bottom. Then we built a bespoke creative team, complete with a dedicated sourcing manager, to oversee printing and production when it was called for.

We also made wider agency resources and specialist skills available, whenever they were needed. ICHOR Studio, our workflow management platform, was installed at the team’s core, streamlining processes and improving communication and visibility for all stakeholders.

Our dedicated studio at P&O Ferries is one of our longest-standing partnerships yet – and it’s still cruising over 5 years later.

On average, it delivers almost 700 complete projects per year. These projects range from press and direct mail campaigns to onboard wayfinding graphics and deck plans, and everything in‑between.
