IBM

Every Second Counts

A carefully timed cyber attack

What we did

The situation

To explore the seriousness of cybercrime, IBM needed a presentation with far more presence than a PowerPoint deck.

The task

Fortified with a sense of theatre, IBM hoped to elevate its Cyber Resilience offering, piquing the interest of high-level business leaders at international events.

The approach

After IBM approached us with a fledgling idea to simulate a real-time cyber-attack, we began devising a script and storyboard for a memorable piece of experiential storytelling.

The action

The presentation begins conventionally, only to be interrupted moments later by a ‘live’ client call, forcing the presenter to work with the caller to resolve the cyber-attack issue with the help of the audience.

Making use of cleverly timed, pre-recorded sequences with actors, the presentation takes the audience through two intriguing interactive scenarios, both negative and positive.

As well as establishing a clear narrative for the project, Purple managed the video production process from start to finish.

We’ve delivered the Every Second Counts presentation at numerous events, such as Cloud Expo Europe and Chief Disruptor Live London, and the reaction to this immersive experience is amazing, and nothing short of phenomenal... it’s opened up so many opportunities and conversations with large financial institutions and other companies to discuss the issues around Cyber Resilience.
