Purple Health brings home silver – twice!

Purple Health has won two silvers and a bronze at the PM Society Digital Awards, with their digital campsite getaway campaign ‘Up for the Challenge’.

Purple Health has won silver at the PM Society Digital Awards with our Gilead/Galapagos ‘Up for the Challenge’ campaign, in the ‘Meetings and Events’ and ‘Markify HCP Behavioural Science Award’ categories. We also won bronze in the ‘HCP Education, Training & Support’ category.

The Digital Awards are where digital, creative and communications experts come together with healthcare professionals to celebrate the best in digital communications within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.

About the campaign

Gilead came to us ahead of their new product launch. Their goal was to build relationships between the brand and KOLs, at a time when face-to-face meetings still weren’t possible. As Covid took over the world, and the yearly American College of Rheumatology conference was cancelled, we had to find a new way to place Gilead as a leader in rheumatology education.

Our research showed that HCPs were missing the opportunity to discuss key topics with their peers – and that’s exactly what we gave them. We decided to design a virtual campsite among the mountains, and weaved the spirit of ‘overcoming the challenge’ throughout our messaging. Our immersive experience was hosted on the ON24 platform, where we created dedicated spaces for peer-to-peer discussions, and set up 1:1s, webinars and meet and greets.

Isabelle Geoghegan, Client Partnership Director, Purple Health, says: ‘Our goal was to build meaningful relationships with UK rheumatologists, making sure we avoided the usual didactic, cold webinar experience. With our “Up for the Challenge” campaign, we whisked 45 KOLs away to our mountainous campsite, where they got to take part in an immersive, peer-to-peer virtual congress experience like no other, making Gilead stand out from the crowd of an incredibly competitive marketplace.’

As further evidence of how successful the campaign was, attendees from one of the peer discussions decided to collaborate and publish an editorial. Turns out, this was a challenge we were definitely up for!
